The human body is a master at doing things at a comfortable speed. If you do not forcibly challenge yourself to work faster, your brain prefers operating at a relaxed speed.

To continuously improve at a skill you need to challenge yourself to improve performance deliberately. It requires focus, attention, persistence and will be demanding mentally/physically.

Today, you must try to do a task faster. It can be a daily email that you send, the time you take to get ready, the pace at which you read or the rate at which you type. Pick any one area and force yourself to go faster. If you find yourself struggling, you're right on track.
